I've had the pleasure of working with Jono Smart and Emily Stephen on a few projects now, and with my I think quite obvious love for food, this one was particularly great. Jono and Emily have created a stunning collection for The Timberyard in Edinburgh and asked me to go along to the restaurant to photograph the pieces in use.
I'm eternally grateful to be able to work with such an amazing group of kind, talented people. I can't thank Jono, Emily and all of the Radford family and staff at the Timberyard enough for such a wonderful project to work on.
A few words from Jono and Emily's website:
"The Timberyard is run by the wonderful Radford family. The space reflects the care and thought the family put into every element of their restaurant, so it was with real pride and excitement that Jono and Emily undertook this project.
A range of tableware and barware was designed based on the minimal aesthetic and gentle tones of the restaurant. Over 1,200 pieces of pottery were handmade from a tonne and half of clay over a twelve month period."
I recently got to meet the immensely talented textile artist Hayley McCrirrick to photograph her work in the gorgeous location of The Haining in Selkirk.Read More
